AT&T U-verse is probably one of the most popular telecommunication and data service in the United States today. Aside from its highspeed Internet (with maximum download speed of 24 megabytes per second), U-verse also has voIP (voice over IP), IP telephone and IP television services.
Signing Up/ Logging in to Your U-Verse Account
The best thing about U-verse is that your account can be easily managed through the AT&T online portal. Just head on over to www.att.com/shop/u-verse.html and click on the Log In button found on the upper right side of the page. You will be taken to a page where you will need to choose the kind of account that you are registered in.
Just choose U-verse from the tabs on the left, and enter your user ID and password. If you still don’t have an account yet, there is a “Register Today!” link below the accounts tabs that you can click on to sign up. You can either put your wireless number on the User ID textbox, or your AT&T Access ID if you have linked it to the service. Enter your password, and voila! You can now view, track, and manage your AT&T account online.
What If I Forgot My Password or User ID?
Don’t fret. AT&T provides lots of options for account recovery should you ever forget your U-verse username or password.
Your U-verse user ID is usually the email address that you used when you first registered your U-verse online account. Just head on over to the Log In page, and you’ll find the “Forgot User ID or Password” link beneath the Password textbox. For your username, just click on “User ID,” select “U-verse Member ID” under the “Select ID Type” field, and enter the email that you used when your first signed up for the U-verse service. After a few minutes, check your email’s inbox. You can find a message from AT&T where your U-verse member ID is listed, along with other member ID’s that you’ve created in the past.
The same process goes if you forgot your password. Click on “Password” on the “Forgot User ID or Password” link and then follow the instructions that were provided.
Other AT&T Uverse Login Tips, and Other Stuff You Should Know
1. Your primary ID is very, very, important. You need to use this to use the services of U-verse, as well as for bills payments and repairs. Make sure to write it down and never forget it. Or save it into a .txt file for easier access.
2. Please do take note that you can never change the user ID that is associated with your account. Remember, these domains are usually used for U-verse accounts: @nvbell.net, @ameritech.net, @bellsouth.net, @pacbell.net, @sbcglobal.net, and @wans.net. We listed that down for you to refresh your memory. If you use an AT&T Yahoo! account to access the online portal, then your password is the same as the one that you are using with your Yahoo! account.
3. Should the steps listed above be insufficient for account recovery, you can still ask for more help from the AT&T customer service hotline at 1-800-288-2020. They also have an online support center that you can ask help from.
