If you are the patient, the service provider will handle the creation of your account in the Emdeon system and then the processing of your claim. On their side, the clinics and healthcare facilities will have to enroll on Emdeon’s systems to set up the system on the business side with access to the payers and transactions needed. Enrollment can be done in 3 steps.
Step 1: The service provider will check with the payers if the transaction type they need is being made available from the payers they desire. This information can be found at http://www.emdeon.com/enrollment. In this list, you will also find details on whether payer enrollment will be needed.
Step 2: You will have to download the PSF (Provider Settlement Forms) that are available for ERA’s and batch claim transactions. On the Emdeon system, choose the type of form you need from the dropdown menu.
Step 3: Fill the appropriate forms and send them to the payers through the Emdeon system.
Using Emdeon Login
